Housing + in Yeni Mahalle, Kayseri

While designing this project, I aimed to gather together the cultural  differences that the neighborhood has had since its foundation. Thanks to my project, both the residents of the neighborhood and the residents themselves will be able to benefit from the cultural center in my design. Double skin facade usage in my design to protect from  disturbing sound and wind. I also tried to create a more spacious and usable space with my triangular design. I also created family-friendly  spaces suitable for the demographics of the residents. I created different  apartment plans for all kinds of families, students, and people living alone  so that different family structures can live together. In addition, while designing this project, I made a double skin facade in order to prevent annoying noise etc. that may come from the environment and to add a more aesthetic appearance to my construction. Double skin façades. Almost a self-explanatory name for facade systems consisting  of two layers, usually goes, wherein air flows through the intermediate cavity. This space  acts as insulation against extreme temperatures, winds, and sound, improving the building's thermal efficiency for both high and low temperatures. Reduces the demand for cooling and heating Allows clear views and natural light, improves  insulation, whether thermal or acoustic, allows natural ventilation and air renewal, creating a healthier environment.
