Housing + in Yeni Mahalle, Kayseri

Location: Yeni Mahalle, Kayseri. 

Type of building: Both residential and commercial.  

Since there are various types of corners according to the form of the streets, I decided to create some kind of edge for people to pass through the passage. Also, one house facade looks at the main road and the other is located between houses. According to analyses we observed that this part is used frequently by pedestrians. So, it is better to use it for a purpose. In this passage, you can see various shops. It will be an opportunity for people to socialize. Almost every building has fewer than 6 floors. In order to achieve harmony with other buildings, this project consists of 5 floors. The street side is designed semi-open to give a sense of refreshment. Behind the passage and shopping area, there is a housing part. There are 10 different types of plans for the housing part even though they’re in the same building. This is because people who would like to stay in a house that has different options for them to choose from. Those houses are designed for especially 2-3 people families. They can live in a more social neighborhood.  This Housing+ Passage Project was designed to attract people’s attention from the path to the Passage.
