The housing project was located in Yenimahalle. Yenimahalle is an important area for Kayseri because it is seen as the first examples of regular housing. We see the grid layout in the field. There are not many high-rise buildings and there are usually commercial areas on the ground floor of the buildings. Pedestrians occupy an important place in the area, and the pedestrian path is important to the area.

In the design, the design was made by considering these features of the area. First of all, the sharp boundaries of my space and the buildings were setting boundaries for the form to be formed. Together with these borders, the 3 axes at the site of the area created dynamism for the form and also provided the opportunity for pedestrians to pass. Landscape was given importance in the design. The social and commercial areas on the ground floor shaped the landscape to be used together.

Building program is more user-based. The proximity of the area to the university, as well as the fact that it is a safe and close environment for the middle-aged population, created the types of houses I would use for my housing. There are suitable types of houses for people who can live alone, for students and also for families.

Materials that will be compatible with the area were preferred on the façade. Brick cladding was made to distinguish the residential entrances and is an example of a material seen on some buildings in this area. Concrete was used in the remaining parts. However, the form provided the opening to the street, and this is in line with the examples of commercial spaces opening towards the street, which we see in Yenimahalle. The building consists of the ground floor and 3 residential floors.

In the project, it was desired to design a building that would not only be used by the people who use the housing, but also by the residents of the neighborhood.
