Housing + in Yeni Mahalle, Kayseri

HERITAGE 

The main purpose of the project is to produce a social housing project in Yenimahalle and it includes a plus. In this context, firstly, a combination of various analyzes in order to understand the socio-cultural benefits of Yenimahalle. More information became available when interviewing residents in the neighborhood. As a result of the analysis, possible results were obtained. 

One of the uses of this history was the texture of the neighborhood and its relationship with the Kayseri Sümer cloth factory, which contributed to the creation of its main theme. According to the analyses, a part of the residents of the neighborhood consists of retired from the Sümer Cloth Factory, moreover, when looking at the end of the neighborhood, it was observed that it consisted of cooperative houses and was closely related to the factory. As a result of this, it has been decided that the social housing project to be built will be a digital museum in order to transfer the surplus production of this history to the new generations and to keep them alive. The works exhibited in the museum will be donated by former factory workers. 

The remaining 3 floors of this social housing, whose ground floor is a museum, will be put into use as residences.Thanks to this project, people will have lived a life intertwined with society and culture.
