 CINE-HOUSE

Cine-House is a social housing project with social activity areas and apartments. In the Cine-House, there is a cinema system consisting of social activity areas, indoor and outdoor cinema areas, and units that can be watched both individually and as a group, with screens combined in different configurations called "unit cinema." It also has a cafe in it for people to experience the social area with a pleasant coffee. In addition to these, Cinehouse has four apartments with different housing plans.

One of the reasons I chose cinema during the concept phase of the project was to create interactive spaces appealing to different age groups living in Yenimahalle. I thought that cinema was an activity that could attract the attention of many people, from 7 to 70. Another reason I chose cinema was to bring the idea of monumental and historical cinema, which is common in many cities, to Yenimahalle.

In the form-finding phase of the project, I wanted to create a holistic design with the neighbourhood by repeating the building form in the neighborhood. With the openings and closures in different configurations on the exterior, I created closed surfaces on some sides, optionally opening and closing surfaces that work as blinds on some sides, and open surfaces that are used as glass on some sides.

One of the important details of the project is that part of the building is under the ground. The reason I did this was because I needed more space for the idea of an open-air cinema. I got the advantage of a higher screen by going underground.

Finally, my main idea was to provide social interaction, appeal to different age groups and people, and design enjoyable spaces throughout the project. I enjoyed the project throughout, and it was a project that I thought improved me. I hope you enjoy viewing it. Thanks.
