Yuşa Dartay

Carpet Weaving Center, which was designed based on the history and geographical structure of Avanos, is a completely non-formal education analysis center designed for high school students. This center contains the whole cycle from the dye produced for the dyeing of the carpet yarn to the weaving and marketing of the carpet. It is a self-sufficient center with greenhouses in the center for the production of coke dyes, three laboratories for the processing and examination of coke dyes, a coloring room and a drying room for dyeing the threads, and a Workhibition area for both woven and splicing the produced threads. While the students are doing their weaving activities in the Workhibition area, the public will be able to participate in this activity and watch them. surplus products are exhibited and sold at this center. Towards the end of the summer months, Avanos, which receives a lot of tourists, becomes a public place with the festival area designed for this region where both the pub and the tourist density are high. This project adds value to the value of Avanos by re-evaluating its relationship with the river and creating more useful places on the river shore.

The building is planned to be built with 3D building printers, which is a new technology. With this technology, which respects nature during construction, the building gains a natural facade appearance. At the same time, with this technology, it becomes possible to construct this structure with the mortar and soils created with Avanos' own material.

It has the feature of being a place that will become the new center of attraction in Avanos with its vocational and educational space for students and with its places that are also related to the public as well.
