HIGH SCHOOL WITH AN ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION MODEL

I started the design with the rostrum, which is the simplest discussion area, in my idea project, in which I produced the scenario that philosophy-based discussions and idea generation would be at its full extent, within the scope of the Dialectic School. The semi-circular rostrum design combined with 3 classrooms serving different purposes, which are completing it geometrically. Afterwards, I placed this units in a curvelineat fluid formed circulation, integrating with each other.

In landscape design, I tried to create narrow and widening corridors inside and outside the school, reminiscent of the streets of Old Avanos. In the left part of the area, I decorated the philosophy walk paths with trees in order to give the wall effect that can add volume to these paths. According to my scenerio, the user who experiences this path will be surrounded by vertical elements on both sides and will be able to focus better on the thoughts in his mind.

The inner garden, on the other hand, emerged thanks to the "Tree of Life", a term frequently used in Philosophy, which is the center and main idea of ​​the design. The "Tree of Life", on the other hand, continues its existence metaphorically with an Olive tree placed in the center.
