The function addressed in the design of this project, taking into account environmental conditions and the demographic structure of the neighborhood, is shaped according to these data. Due to its proximity to the industrial zone, worker housing stands out in the neighborhood, and the relationship between these residences contributes to the interconnectedness of the residents in the area. Public spaces created not only within individual buildings but specifically within the neighborhood stand out. Consequently, to maintain the established order and pattern within the neighborhood, an area has been created that appeals to both the public and the residents of the buildings.

The function considered in this design is shaped based on the demographic structure of the residents in the neighborhood and the advantages or disadvantages provided or not provided within the neighborhood. A notable observation in the neighborhood is the hesitation of especially women when using public spaces. Therefore, I am advancing with the concept of knitting to create a special and comfortable space for women within the neighborhood. In this knitting space, a separate area has been created for women with children, where children can also spend their time. While children play in these areas, women can have spaces where they can dedicate time to themselves. Studios have also been created where they can work with a teacher or preferably progress through peer learning.

In addition to serving the residents, a haberdashery within the building also caters to external customer demand. The dining area in the facility serves women and children. A courtyard has been created at the back, accessible both through a private entrance for building residents and open to the use of individuals participating in the function. An amphitheater has been created within the courtyard to establish an event space, enhancing its activity and functionality. In summary, in this project, the continuity of neighborhood and neighborly relationships has been ensured, emphasizing the interconnectedness of the neighborhood residents and building inhabitants.
