In the field analyses made at the beginning of this project, the social structure living in the observed region was examined. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the majority of the people living in the area were working-class people, as this area was a crossroads for the roads leading to the city's industrial sites. In line with this analysis, the Orta Anadolu Mensucat factory employees near the project area were prioritized for the housing function. Four different units were designed in line with the needs of the employees. As a Housing + function, a foundation that produces clothes for the benefit of orphaned children is organized in the building, and it is aimed to evaluate the experiences of the employees in their professional lives in another field that will benefit society. In this context, the word “embrace” was chosen as a concept to correspond to this activity to be carried out for the benefit of orphaned children. By design, an iconic building form is targeted for the region. To achieve this, based on the monumentality of the pyramid form, the showroom and design workshop in the building were designed in the form of a pyramid. The aim here is to emphasize the value of the people who will use this building for society and the importance of the activity. Just like the metaphor of light coming into a prism scattering and emitting more light around it, a holistic structure has been created between the concept, design, and housing + function. Structurally, the main load-bearing systems are designed in steel. to emphasize the Housing+ function, the pyramid is placed in the middle of the structure and the core of the structure is positioned around this pyramid in a diagonal direction.
