CIZHOU

When I looked at the general population of Hürriyet neighbourhood, I realized that the rate of unemployed housewives was quite high. When we look at the neighbourhood, we see that there is no social building for housewives. Due to the concept, I thought it would be a great idea to build a ceramics workshop to contribute to the development and social life of unemployed housewives. When we look at the origins of ceramic art based on the idea of ceramics, I learned that it is a art from China and its equivalent is word of Cizhou. That's why I used it as a concept word. Women who come to these workshops will have the opportunity to sell their products in exhibitions held at certain intervals. In my project, I used the ground floor for the ceramic workshop function and the entrance and exit of the building residents. On the ground floor where the workshops are located, glass was preferred to communicate with the outside on facade. I aimed to create privacy by separating the entrance and exit of the building from the building where my plus activity is located. On the other three floors there are flats with different forms and shapes. In these flats, I aimed to plan high-functionality flats with minimum space. The reason why the ground floor form of the building and the upper floors were different was that I wanted the lower floor to have a more inviting atmosphere, and on the upper floors I wanted to blend in with the surroundings. I took advantage of the ground floor form of the building for landscaping. It has a landscape design that allows residents and other people using the building to easily navigate the surroundings. I hope you enjoy reviewing it.
