Housing + in Hürriyet, Kayseri
ARCH201 ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN I
Hakan Özdemir / Culture House
The project is located in the Hürriyet Neighborhood. When the residents of the neighborhood were analysed, it was found that people from different cultures lived together. The inspiration of the project is this topic. Located on the ground floor of the building, a concept has been created in which cultures are introduced, different every week and drinks of these cultures are produced and served. By separating from each other with 2 streets, it was desired to provide street-park access, and take-away points were placed on these streets. It was thought that the drinks of the culture promoted that week would be served from here practically, and the people who bought their drinks from here would continue straight ahead and watch the dance performances of the same culture in the Perform Area located in the middle of the park. Attention has been paid to the use of green areas in the park section and they have been seen as guiding elements. The Perform Area is designed as green and is designed 1 meter down from the ground level to the elevation. Different cultures also mean different lifestyles. In the housing section of the building, apartment designs were made according to different family types, different needs, and expectations by taking this issue into account. The plans of the apartments, the number and types of rooms show this change. 6 apartments have been designed, including 5 normal and 1 duplex. an indoor parking lot with a capacity of 6 vehicles has been designed, including 2 disabled parking spaces and 4 normal-sized parking spaces.
