Zeynep Yılmaz Participative Creative Island
The starting point of this project and concept comes from the islanders' desire to have a say in the discussion and the areas they live in. To involve a ‘creative local community ‘. They were all people who did not hesitate to speak out when necessary, to defend and protect the city they lived in, and to beautify it by making new and modern changes when necessary. That's why I took advantage of my field and contacted the museum. My basic space setup is based on the fact that tourists who learn the history of the island in the museum can also design the future of the island in the area I designed. Not only for people coming from outside but also because the people of the island have more say on the island, I tried to make it a place where they can always come and determine my activities accordingly. My space setup is designed to create a place where visitors can share their observations of the island, process them, discuss them, and experiment. Designer participatory workshops include collaborative discussions, experiments, and city tours.
