Hüsne Şevval Kıymaz Floral Tapestry Trio

The purpose of this project is to bring together people of all age groups living on Büyükada. The goal is to enhance the quality of life for the residents of Büyükada. In this project area designated as a memorial forest, the trees and natural slope were quite prominent. Preserving the trees was another goal of the project. The inclusion of pine trees in the area was desired, utilizing pine cones as part of the project. Additionally, to ensure that the slope does not pose a danger to people, the entrance to the area has been placed at an elevated level. Furthermore, the supporting system of the passive mass has been constructed using traditional wooden methods and sustainable rammed earth. It has been determined through analysis that tradesmen live around the hospital area, which is the project area. Additionally, the project area also creates an employment environment for the wifes of these tradesmen. In line with this objective, various paints are produced from flowers and soils found on Büyükada. Subsequently, these paints are used to create natural cosmetic products, cakes, macrames, and decorations, which are then sold in the bazaar area.
