Social Gathering Space at Büyükada

The project area is divided into three zones: production area, health area, and gathering area. The gathering area serves as an inclusive space that connects two different entrances. In the health area, there is a veterinary section for animals and facilities for psychological health and felinotherapy for humans. The production area includes a social project for the production and sale of pet food, construction of shelters, painting, and distribution throughout Istanbul, especially in the Büyükada region. The production area is designed as a single-story structure primarily using traditional wooden frame construction. The health area, on the other hand, is a two-story building constructed with rubble stone walls and traditional wooden elements. The main goal of this project is to promote coexistence with animals based on love for them throughout Büyükada and to address the general problems faced by animals in the Büyükada region.
