Social Gathering Space at Büyükada

The literature station project was designed with a focus on social responsibility, inclusive design, and natural building techniques. The aim of the project is to highlight the social impact of literature and bring the community together. Adopting the principle of social responsibility, it focuses on activities that promote sustainability, education and social participation. Inclusive design aims to embrace everyone by targeting different cultures and age groups, offering disabled-friendly spaces and multiple use areas. An environmentally friendly approach was adopted by using natural construction techniques and materials, and we worked with green energy sources and recyclable materials. Aesthetic and inspirational elements were designed in harmony with the depth of literature, aiming to create a visual feast in the space. Dialogue and communication areas aim to encourage social dialogue by hosting different events. Technology supports literature and is integrated with digital libraries, interactive reading experiences and virtual events. With these design decisions, the project aims to provide an environmentally responsible, inclusive and inspiring atmosphere while bringing literature lovers together.
