Göktürk Alparslan Ulu Florafusion
Florafusion, nestled in the historical surroundings of Istanbul's Büyükada, draws inspiration from the rich tapestry of the island's botanical heritage and the vibrant history of its flower festival. The project seeks to revive and celebrate Büyükada's cultural connection to flowers by incorporating indigenous flora into its design and paying homage to the island's historical significance as a sanctuary for diverse plant life. Annual flower festivals, deeply rooted in Büyükada's past, inspire Florafusion's commitment to community engagement and inclusivity. By integrating natural building techniques with stone and wood, traditional to the region, the project became a living testament to the island's architectural legacy. Florafusion not only harmonizes with the historical charm of Büyükada but also aims to rejuvenate the spirit of the island's flower festivals, fostering a sense of pride and continuity within the local community.
