CRAFTING STUDIO/SENA KÄ°RAZGÄ°LLER
I wanted to create a calm and interactive activity area, different from the usual fast-paced activities here. The workshop will have two sections for different types of activities.
In the short-term workshop, people can put together 3D puzzle models from ready-made kits. This is a quick and enjoyable activity that allows people to relax and be creative.
In the long-term workshop, people can do more detailed crafts like making candles. This area is for those who want to spend more time on their projects, enjoying a relaxing and creative experience.
The choice of a rectangular form for the workshop spaces aligns with the architectural language of the surrounding closed areas. By maintaining this consistent form. Additionally, the rectangular layout facilitates an efficient circulation within the space, ensuring a smooth flow of movement for participants.
The workshop is placed close to the entrance and restrooms for convenience. Since the activities might get people's hands dirty, easy access to restrooms is important.
When you first enter the workshop area, there is an information zone to guide visitors. After that, there are two semi-open spaces: one for sales of ready-made kits and another for displaying finished projects.
Further in, there is a semi-open space for the short-term workshops, where people can do quick activities like 3D puzzles. Next to it is a closed space for long-term workshops, where people can spend more time on crafts like candle making.
This setup makes it easy for everyone to find an activity they enjoy, whether they want a quick project or something that takes more time.
In summary, this thoughtfully designed workshop space not only encourages creativity and interaction but also considers practical aspects like accessibility and circulation. By offering both short-term and long-term activities, it caters to a diverse audience, making it a versatile and welcoming addition to the area.
