GRAVITATION//SEMİH KARADAĞ
‘The Gravitation’ concept comes from attracting people to isolated area by using ‘Ancient Roman Forum Idea’. Earlier times, people used these areas for making important decisions. In this design, people talk about problems, make discussions etc. to have wider perspective. Firstly people come to design by pedestrian road which are adapted to existing elements (basketball field, axis of road). Then people see a circular shaped discussion areas. 2 of them are lighted structures, and one of them is not because of the integration of close space. Lighted structures remind that ‘old’ structures to have more impressive ambiance. Structures have two levels for getting benefit from good views.(mountains, lights of city, etc.) In the middle of the design, there is a huge circular space for gathering. People discuss their findings, solutions and opinions. The aim of the project was showing the importance of effective communication.
