POTTERY WORKSHOP // KARDELEN YURDAKAN

Why this concept?

Because it was aimed to design a place where all age groups can have a pleasant time and at the same time be in touch with nature. When people come to this park, they should relieve the tiredness and stress of the day, at least a little. And doing something with their families or friends, socializing, and dealing with the soil at the same time has always made people relax and forget the stress of the day.

Why this area?

Because this area is close to areas where various age groups are located. There is a park for children, a library and basketball court for young people, and various museums for adults. It was aimed to gather these age groups in one place with the pottery workshop. At the same time, it was an advantage in choosing this area because it was busy on the roadside.

Use of area

At the entrance, a landscape area and exhibition area greets you. There are material shelves, WC and sink in the closed area. There are tables for pottery in the semi-open area. Pottery can be done by sitting on the grass or on stools, depending on preference. There are also small taps outside. To wash hands after doing pottery. There is a 2 square meter basement in the closed area. There is an electric oven here. It is cooked in this oven with pottery.

It also operates as an appointment-based pottery workshop for 8 people in a closed area. Thus, the place can be used in all 4 seasons.

A mother who brings her child to the park can do pottery in the semi-open area and supervise her child while his child plays in the park. Or the child who is studying in the library can stop by here and rest himself. Visitors visiting culinary arts can also continue their art activity by doing pottery.

As a result, this project offers the simultaneous realization of nature and art.
