SCENT STUDIO // AYSE BÜSRA ALCAN
The reason I chose this location is due to the proximity of restrooms and the park, and alsobecause it is relatively quieter compared to the main event area. The importance of the park lies in providing a space where parents can only watch and wait for their children. However, I wanted to create a space where they can have some time for themselves while keeping an eye on their children, which is why the front part of my design is entirely glass.
The concept I am proposing is a scent studio, specifically a perfume workshop. The reason for this choice is the location's integration with nature, as it is situated within a large park. By leveraging the olfactory aspect of nature, I aim to attract people's interest while offering an activity that is currently unavailable in Kayseri.
My space consists of both semi-open and enclosed areas. The enclosed area is dedicated to the creation of perfumes, providing a controlled environment for the workshop activities. In contrast, the semi-open area features a flower garden and seating areas. This setup allows participants to enjoy the natural surroundings and take inspiration from the environment while engaging in the perfume-making process.
The flower garden not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the space but also serves as a practical source of natural scents that can be used in the workshops. The seating areas provide a relaxing spot for parents and other visitors to unwind, read, or simply enjoy the beauty of the park. By combining the elements of nature and creative activity, my design aims to offer a unique and enriching experience for both children and adults.
In summary, the strategic location near essential amenities and the park, along with the innovative concept of a perfume workshop integrated with natural elements, makes this project both practical and appealing. It caters to the need for a peaceful, engaging, and educational environment, allowing visitors to connect with nature while participating in a creative and unique activity.
