Equaterra/ Pınar Şeker

Equaterra is, in theory, a women's utopia. It has functions where women can express themselves on all the difficulties they face in today's world and on every issue they want to make their voices heard. A capsule governance system was created by determining all the causes, actions and all the building blocks required for these actions of the "woman action" and "woman voice" ideas that were worked on at the concept stage. This capsule system aims to support and raise awareness of women in the social, political and economic fields; It has centers located for each topic.

Another of the main ideas of the design is the platforms that connect the gallery spaces created between spaces horizontally and vertically. These platforms are abstracted streets of action. These platforms, which connect places such as education street, media street, representation boulevard and are shaped around gallery spaces, are the streets of this created women's utopia.

Open plan setup and flexible work areas are designed in the interiors. Each space becomes transparent on its interior façade, allowing views of the interior galleries and streets. A completely transparent facade design was preferred on the facade facing the dock. In this way, a visual connection is provided to the design from the Quay front and the pier section with the most lively social flow in Kadıköy.
