KADIKÖY TECHUB/Buket Avcı
A technology development center was designed by bringing together the density of the young population in Kadıköy and the interaction of young people with technology, and taking into account the needs of Kadıköy through analysis. A technology axis has been created from Kadıköy Ferry Pier to the inner streets that reflect the spirit of Kadıköy. A technology street was designed in the region where the created technology axis passes through the project area. The cafe and street in the project work integrated with each other with openable seating areas. In the area where Technology Street becomes a square, a breathing space has been defined for users with open seating areas. In the building, which operates as a technology development center, the function of each floor is defined differently. Gallery spaces between floors eliminate rigid boundaries. The first floor is the social floor and provides interaction with users by containing exhibition halls, conference halls and event areas. The second floor is the education floor, and while training for technological development is given in the classrooms, learning is carried out by having fun with different activities in the workshop area. The third floor is the production floor. The aim is to put the design developed on the production floor into production. There are governance units on the fourth floor. There is a rooftop bar on the last floor where you can enjoy the sea view from Kadıköy. The spaces in the design are designed as flexible as possible. Foldable panels were used instead of rigid walls.
