The Castle Cooperation Hub addresses the issue of "conservative tradesmen" in Kayseri Castle by creating a cooperative brand. It enables the top 5 sector shareholders, mainly shopkeepers, to develop their businesses through research and development, aiming to create sustainable products and transition to a global brand.
The complex program also focuses on solving the problems of unpedestrianized areas and lack of greenery around the site. This enhances the complex's significance from a specialized concept to a city-scale perspective.
The architectural language combines old and new materials. Parametrically reshaped aluminum cladding gives a contemporary touch to the new addition, while the old madrasah features trimmed courtyard ceilings and preserved columns to highlight the old monument. Exhibition areas promote the cooperation brand, aiming to establish it as an innovative global brand with local support. The courtyard serves as a space for launch events and brand advertisements, engaging visitors and employees.
Rectangular green gardens at different levels address the lack of pedestrianization and greenery, maintaining a balance between the old and the new. This design approach represents the collaboration concept of "singular to plural."
