Co-Art Social Innovation Hub is a collaborative space that combines artistic expression with social impact. It serves as a platform for artists, creators, and innovators to explore and address societal challenges through various art forms. By fostering creativity, community engagement, and dialogue, it aims to generate innovative solutions, raise awareness, and inspire positive change in society.
The hub site recognizes the surrounding buildings as boundaries that enclose the madrasah and aims to enhance the visibility of the madrasah. Therefore, the hub is seamlessly integrated towards the rear of the madrasah. This strategic placement ensures that the surrounding buildings frame the madrasah, drawing attention to its architectural significance and making it more prominent within the hub site.
To facilitate a smoother transition between the madrasah and the hub, a designated in-between space called the "threshold" has been designed. This threshold serves as an intermediary zone that connects the hub and the madrasah, while also functioning as an exhibition center to showcase the artwork produced within the hub. While the madrasah continues to house the production of traditional art, the hub fosters the creation of contemporary art. As a result, the threshold space draws inspiration from both the modern and traditional worlds, allowing for a harmonious blend of artistic influences.
