Reliving The Lost Carpet Culture

Betül Yekrek

The general concept of the design is shaped around the preservation and preservation of the existing memory in the region. As an example of this memory, weaving was chosen, which once used the Gövdes Düğümü, a knot technique unique only to this place. The memory fiction has been continued not only in the concept, but also with the natural materials and construction techniques used. In this sense, the natural stone masonry construction technique was used. The general location setup starts from the gardens for the production part. The produced dyeing plants are directed to two directions: 1- To workshops (Dyeing workshop, weaving workshop). Plants are directly involved in production by removing the dye, drying and finally processing. 2-To the Herbalist-Cafe. The plants dried in the canopy are both sold here and become part of the physical experience (People can taste the plants produced in the gardens here). The inclusive design principle has been taken into account with the inclusive user profile.
