Fashion Design High School
The building, which started to take shape as a fashion design high school, was settled according to its functions. While determining the location of the school building in the land, it is the most important design criterion to carry the extension of the pedestrian crossing on the main street to the corridors of the school and to give an exhibition feeling in the corridor. In order to increase the excitement in the corridor, some workshops and classrooms were withdrawn back and forth and at the same time, transparency was used on the facades facing the interior of the corridor. Another function of this corridor is that the fashion show area to be organized by the graduates is located.
A showroom has been set up to showcase some of the products planted at the school's main street. This section aims to both gain students practice and to connect the community with the school.
Considering the moving and dynamic structure of fashion, different animations were made on the facade. At the same time, lighting modules were used on the roof to reduce the number of dark environments and contribute to sustainability. To serve the same purpose, gaps (lighting) were created in some areas within the school.
From the moment you enter the building according to the circulation in the school, the exhibition area will meet you and you will have the opportunity to see the student work inside and observe every stage of the design process thanks to the transparency of the right and left workshops.
The formation of the design is displayed on the first floor of the building, which sits on the area according to 3 different functions, and public spaces where collective activities will be held on the second floor will be encountered. The corridor podium, which is the heart of the school, can be used to reach the exit of the school.
At the back of the school, an area that students, administrators, teachers and the public can use has been created and enriched with landscape.
