Vertical Farming High School 

The vertical farming high school is located in Talas/ Kayseri where is a new settlement in Kayseri compared to other districts.  The aim of the project is to educate a new generation of high school students about farming and specifically vertical farming. The building is located near the road to give a sense of wall. The students are going to be educated with different and special techniques in here. During the process of the project, necessities and the needs of this new education style and techniques concerned. The conceptual idea is to create a green wall on the street and make green visible from the outside. Due to the weather conditions, there are vertical farming elements inside the school to keep education available for all seasons. Solid and the void spaces are organized to get enough natural light inside the space and the circulation area. To provide natural light for the vertical farming element inside the school, roof openings were used in galleries. According to the necessities of the project, it contains different spaces for separate functions. Different sizes and functional spaces are organized to get different experiences. To be able to make spaces flexible, movable furniture are used inside. Movable walls were used between spaces to make them multi-functional spaces. The roof of the building is used as a kind of green park to have some activities. The roof has different green spaces and the size of the path is changing to provide different activities there. The landscape is organized both for public and private purposes. There is a small lake and different sitting areas.
