Textile Hub / Safae Jaouad
Gaziantep is a multicultural city where people from different nations choose to immigrate and live in Gaziantep due to its great hospitality, however, various problems come along with the immigration such as poverty, lack of job opportunities, and the language barrier. Thus this project is focusing on improving the lives of immigrants while integrating them with the locals to create a healthy community, and as gaziantep is well know with the textile industry, this project will provide textile training program that will help them to find jobs, this training is not only for immigrants yet the local valunarble community is welcome as well, moreover the project provides some language classes to help them to facilitate their daily life.Furthermore, the design of the project tries to connect the contemporary street with the old one with a passage that will work as a bridge to connect the two, while creating tje passage it gives the desihn the potential to seperate the private area that are mainly for immigrants for the registration process and the semi private area where the training programs are located that are for the immigrants and turkish, also the design create a bridge to connect the two blocks in the upper floors.
