Şeymanur Özselçuk / MASEY: Calmness of Nature
I wanted to create a space blended with the hand of nature for people who have to deal with mental problems such as depression and anxiety due to the fear of earthquakes, and my concept was based on Exploring the Therapeutic Potential of Biophilic Sound Environments. In this context, "Biophilic Sound Landscape" is a concept that not only offers a sustainable and pleasant space by bringing plants together, but also turns brightness and sometimes serenity into energy. In this context, I designed the MASEY Therapy Center. This is a spacious space designed according to the principles of "biophilic soundscape", which approaches people who are afraid of earthquakes from a psychological perspective and addresses disorders such as depression and anxiety resulting from people's fear/trauma.
In this center, which is illuminated with floor-to-ceiling glass, instead of ordinary therapies Creative and social healing methods are used by offering drawing and music workshops and group therapies. Thanks to its buildings divided into two on the ground floor, it is equipped with pleasant walking paths, seating areas and guiding water channels. It also offers shelter to people in need, with temporary accommodation rooms on the upper floor.
MASEY Therapy Center aims to offer its visitors a comprehensive healing experience by bringing the calming elements of nature to indoor spaces, providing a feeling of spaciousness, sincerity and warmth.
