Zeliha Ayşe Altınkaya / Compromise
"The "Compromise" therapy center project focuses on treating claustrophobia that arises in some people as a result of loss-related trauma. Different dystopian spaces were designed using factors such as ceiling heights, area widths, and integration with nature, aiming for users to confront their traumas in these spaces according to the stages of their therapy.
While designing a welcoming center with a glass tunnel that connects two axes, the aim is to create a sense of "restricted infinity" due to the use of glass. This tunnel, which narrows and widens at certain points, provides a variety of spatial experiences. By allowing natural light to penetrate and offering views of the surrounding environment, the tunnel enhances the therapeutic journey and reinforces the connection between the indoor spaces and nature.
