KIAK Kayseri Intersection Art Center/Yusuf Onuk
The subject of fine arts; Natural beings are social events. Knowledge, manners, emotion and thought are the basic elements that create fine arts. In general, only fine arts can give form to the chaotic human soul.
In this context, I saw that performing arts were spread in a scattered manner in Kayseri. Performances such as the Kayseri State Theater building, dance schools and opera are performed independently in many different buildings. My goal is to gather all of these types of performing arts under one roof. In addition, creating a visual arts center and bringing these two centers together with the texture of the city. One side of the area overlooks nature and the other side overlooks the historical area. I want to create these two intersections in a single building.
My building orientation was shaped by the historical buildings in the surrounding area. One side of the art center building was facing historical buildings, while the other side was towards Mount Erciyes. In this way, I can use the views of the city as a stage.
