Art-Evo Contemporary Arts Center/Abdullah Topcu
It was requested to design a Contemporary Arts Center in Kayseri. In the area and culture research conducted on the content of the center, factors affecting the environment where the center will be built were taken into account. One of the important ones is Kayseri Castle and Grand Bazaar located in the north of the area.
Art-Evo Contemporary Arts Center provides an approach to taking, perceiving, abstracting and reinnovating the culture that influences this area from the north. It provides parametric abstraction training through workshops and venues established to combine many arts performed in the bazaar with the concept of digital arts. The works revealed as a result of this training take their place in temporary and permanent exhibitions. The axes of the center, which also lead to a square, come from the north and east of the area. The eastern axes also include the restoration and reuse of the area between the Lala Pasha Mosque and Hasinli Mosque.
