Fiber Art and Culture/ Gaye Odakır

Fiber art and culture have a deeply intertwined relationship, with fiber art playing a significant role in the cultural heritage and to reflect artistic expressions of various societies around the world. Contemporary fiber art continues to evolve, reflecting the ever changing landscape of artistic expression and addressing the complex social and cultural issues of our time through the lens of textile-based creativity. The interconnectedness of fiber art with other arts highlights the versatility and adaptability of textile materials, allowing artists to explore new forms of expression and push the boundaries of traditional artistic practices. So in this design there are workshop and exhibition areas to be a part of the experiencing the fiber art concept and also there is one auditorium to play an active role in the combination of performing art and fiber art. Also there are shop, cafes and huge sitting staircases to enjoy and experience the space.
