“Master Studio I in Ağırnas"

Studio I intends to observe and examine the social and spatial layers of an urban form, and develops an architectural research based on it. Studio deals with the urban form, and seeks to reconsider their spatial and social organizations, and living beings in their current context to develop an architectural research. Studio intends to focus on (re)production of the space, in the context of and architectural artifact, to explore its contradictions in daily life in an interdisciplinary context. It also emphasizes on identity, role of the society/culture and interactions of the place, and sustainability to understand the experience of life and social interactions. Studio develops alternative ways of examining, criticizing and interpreting the architectures.
Studio 1 aims to go beyond contemporary design methods in architecture and urban design. In this respect 2018-2019 motto of Studio I-II is going “beyond the topography”. Studio I is focused on examining the morpho-logical parameters in Ağırnas, Kayseri for searching, creating and experiencing new tendencies in design.
